The Medici & Vacca Lions are an exact miniaturized recreation of the famed Italian marble sculptures, meticulously handcrafted by Sculptured Arts Studio. Free-standing and presented without a base, this remarkable piece captures the grandeur and historical significance of the original lions. The first lion dates back to the 2nd century BC and was once owned by the powerful Medici family, guarding the steps of the Villa Medici in Italy. Its companion was sculpted by Flaminio Vacca in 1590, and together the pair were relocated in 1799 to their current home at the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence.
